Received my AppCamp4Girls T-shirt in the mail. Really dig its simple and cute design. Keep up the good work.

Big Wreck concert

Last night’s Big Wreck concert was an interesting one. They did not play many hit songs (not even Ghosts) but played some ballsy, more avant-garde, songs and finished with a good cover of Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin. This also requires courage. Ian Thornley is a world-class performer and the rest of the band was good as well.

My cute work companion. Right after taking this photo he fell asleep 💤 and started snoring gently. 🐶

Attending a high school open house. My kids are growing! 😨

Working from the coworking space today. It’s nice to change the scenery from time to time.

Last night I finished The Room: Last Sin. It was fantastic. CAD$7 for almost six hours of mysterious and beautiful Escape Room-like experience. Which for a real room would’ve cost $25/hour. Still, I like going to real ones as well. It’s a fun group activity.

Today’s evening program is Winnipeg Symphonic Orchestra. With my mom. I don’t remember if I ever went to a real orchestra performance after I was 10yo. I don’t remember much before either.
Next week is Big Wreck, though! Great Canadian Rock. Somewhat proggy. 🎵

The Girl from Ipanema

Yesterday I learned that “Girl from Ipanema” was inspired by an actual girl. She’s in her 70ies now. She never got any money from the song. And was sued by the writers of the song for opening an apparel line named “The Girl from Ipanema”

Unrelated: I learned to play it on guitar, though there’s room to improve the Bossa Nova feel. 🎵
