I should’ve checked. It was the second video, actually. Three and a half years ago. This is the old one: www.youtube.com/watch

My first music video on YouTube and Facebook, several years ago, was playing the solo to Pink Floyd’s Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2. Eventually it helped me get the band gig. This evening I decided to try it again, with a sound that’s hopefully closer to original.

In 2019, I released a song (co-written), which is a major achievement for me, and I’ve started writing new songs. I hope to release more music in 2020. Links to the song in streaming/stores is at https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/sixthousandmiles/dark-sun or on Bandcamp.

A gator basking in the sun. Almost cute.

Today’s vacation destination. One of a kind place.

This iPhone Trivia article on Cult of Mac is interesting but something’s wrong in this math here. I wonder where the error comes from.

My dog, Sparky, was barking at an unknown, to him, person, who came to the door. A minute later the Apple Watch notified me about high loudness levels. Who said that dogs lead to increased health? ;)

I have a philosophical question: is it better to forget what you wanted to talk about with someone or to talk, and then forget what you talked about?

Tesla’s stock took a sharp turn this morning. Just like the “curves” on their new CyberTruck.

My Downloads folder on the MacBook Pro has a file from 2010 and more files from 2011 and later. It’s a testament both to the macOS’s success in easy migration between upgrades of machines and to my lack of discipline with file management.

Came back from my son’s high-school concert of the jazz bands. It’s great to see how each subsequently higher-grade band is playing better and more difficult tunes. Next week is the concert band performance. It’ll be a different atmosphere for sure.

My son has passed driving knowledge test today and now I’ll need to teach him to drive 😱 I’ll probably go from 🧑🏻 to 👴🏻 in no time.

I’m on Treating duty this Halloween. Frames and stickers were added with Socialite.

Why does a process named tccd take an almost 1GB of memory on macOS Catalina. Isn’t it the one responsible for security permissions? So many of those now? Or are they leaking?

Today, by mistake, I prepared coffee ☕️with half of spoon of salt instead of sugar. Let me tell you… don’t try it at home.

I first read this as “and surviving many key changes”. That would be appropriate for Dream Theater’s music, too. 🤣
-
Dream Theater’s landmark album, Scenes from a Memory, came out 20 years ago today. Here’s my recent cover of the emotional solo and ending in The Spirit Carries On from that album. youtu.be/EeOlf9nB0…

It’s fiery sunset in Winnipeg tonight. 📷

Following the heavy snowstorm last week in Winnipeg, two of our trees in the backyard broke. But this photo is of a partially broken tree of our neighbours at the front, between the driveways. I like the juxtaposition of its red leaves and the remnants of snow on the ground. 📷

I created a playlist with my selection of recent Progressive Rock and Metal releases on Apple Music. I add a song or two from each album, so they are a good way to see what you like and then research more.

Mexico didn’t disappoint. I added the stickers in Socialite

Jean @macgenie loves rock&roll at the Karaoke at Release Notes conference.

First leg of my flight to the Release Notes conference.

I’ve spent some time in the Rocky Mountains near Denver last week, including at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Beautiful places and The weather was good but initially my head was dizzy and pulse was higher because of the elevation.
